Give us a brief introduction about yourself
Hello, I'm Francesco Salvaggio, the web knows me as franckreporter and I'm a passionate photographer and dream hunter. the most amazing thing to me is to show to my friends the beautiful places I have been lucky to visit during my life.
When did you realize you want to become an artist/illustrator/designer?
I have been always passionate about photography, but I discovered that it may be my job at the age of 17 years old when I bought my first digital camera. Before that time I used a 35mm camera. But with the digital technology, it was also really easy to manipulate my images.
If you weren’t a photographer, what would you be?
Probably I would have started to work in the engineering information technology field that is the field where I studied and got a master degree.
In terms of your craft, which taught you more, school or life? Please elaborate
life for sure...
I never studied anything about photography, I just bought a digital camera on 2004 and since then I worked and done practice on the field doing a lot of mistakes. Meet new people on my travels or in my job it keeps me inspired.
How do you start working on a project?
Usually, unless IÂ have an assignment work IÂ decide by myself the project in what I want to work. Basically, I try to know in advance which kind of photographic concept the market will need.
Who is the most inspiring person to you?
IÂ don't have one... I like to be inspired by every media around me. From the tv to the many magazines I read every week.Â
What’s your favorite pastime?
I usually play volleyball in winter and beach volley in summer.
I really like to eat donuts and I love to eat any kind of pizza..pretty typical as an Italian dude.
I'd never stop to listening to Billy Idol, The Essential album.
To don't be the best in my job
Do my job as a freelancer and manage my time as I prefer.
