Lutfi describes himself as
A freelance illustrator & designer based in Amman, Jordan. I love to do things that mainly involve drawing. A neat freak only when it comes to creating artworks & illustrations. My biggest inspiration comes from pencils & deadlines.
When did you realize you want to become an artist/illustrator/designer?
I guess it just grew with me, I've been doodling and drawing ever since I can remember. And as a child I always imagined myself doing things that involve drawing when I'm older, like being a caricaturist or an animator, but eventually ended up in the field of illustration and graphic design.
If you weren't an illustrator, what would you be?
Anything but an accountant, for no reason rather than I'm really bad with numbers and dealing with money.
In terms of your craft, which taught you more, school or life? Please elaborate
Both were important actually. Life taught me more with a wider scope, but school had set the path to where I was headed in the first place.
How do you start working on a project?
Depends on the project and what it requires. But in general I always start sketching on paper. I kind of brainstorm with myself through my pencil.
Who is the most inspiring person to you?
I get inspired by lots of by different people and the things they do, whether famous or ordinary people, whatever the field of their work might be.
What's your favorite pastime?
When I'm not working or doodling I hang out with friends, listen to music, watch movies, animations and sitcoms. Sometimes all of those things intersect with each other.
An open buffet.
If I got stuck and was not being able to evolve, either on a professional or on a psychological / spiritual level.
